Firewall and Proxy Settings Firewalls and proxy servers are the most common cause of IQ Chart connection problems, but IQ Chart can be configured to get through most firewalls and proxies without too much trouble. If you are connecting to the Internet through work or school, a firewall or proxy is almost certainly the cause of your connection problem. If you are connecting to the Internet from your home, it is possible that your ISP (Internet Service Provider) uses a firewall or proxy server. In any of these cases, here's what to try:
One way to determine what the correct proxy settings are is to check the settings on your web browser: Netscape Navigator/Communicator 4.x
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x
If you try all of this and the IQ Chart still cannot log in, and you are connecting to the Internet through work or school, contact your network administrator to make sure that your firewall and proxy settings are correct. If you are connecting to the Internet from your home, call your ISP to find out if they use a firewall or proxy server. | ||
